Creature collector · auto battler

Batomon Showdown overview

The Batomon Showdown Wiki is a guide to a creature-collector auto battler built around preparation, automatic battles, and adaptation. In this Batomon Showdown game, you assemble a team from Batomon and run-changing choices, then face asynchronous player-made teams. There is no decision timer rushing the shop phase, so the important work happens before Battle: read the available effects, decide which pieces support one another, and arrange a team whose plan can survive the next matchup.

Use this page to understand the run before opening a dedicated guide. The homepage can explain useful gameplay even when a topic does not have its own page yet; links appear only when their destination has completed review and actually exists.

How a run works

How a Batomon Showdown run works

In the Steam Demo covered through September 7, 2026, a normal run follows a repeating loop of shop decisions and automatic battles:

  1. Build a team in the shop

Build around Batomon, trainers, encounters, trinkets, and items. A strong decision is not simply the most impressive option in isolation: look for combinations whose effects contribute to the same plan, then arrange the prepared team before committing to Battle.

  2. Resolve the automatic battle

Once preparation ends, the two boards fight automatically. The opponent is an asynchronous player-made team, so nobody is waiting for live commands while you consider the shop. The result shows what the current plan handled well and where it fell short.

  3. Adapt toward 10 badges

Return to the next preparation phase, reconsider the available pieces, and keep working toward the normal run target of 10 badges. Losses reduce the run's life pool, which means a run asks you to balance long-term direction against the problems visible right now.

Evidence label: Community-reported Demo rules

Community guide report reviewed September 7, 2026 for source-status Build 24914580; current local reviewed Build 25037381 differs.

These details are useful for understanding the documented Demo, but the Build difference means they are not presented here as guaranteed current rules.

Manage lives and Second Chance

The guide reports that a run starts with 10 lives. A loss costs 1 life on days 1–2, 2 lives on days 3–4, and 3 lives from day 5 onward. The first time lives reach zero, Second Chance reportedly returns the run to 1 life and opens a reward event. That makes the day number, not just the number of previous losses, important when judging how much room remains.

Understand team HP, cooldowns, and position

A prepared team can field up to six Batomon, but the side reportedly fights around one shared battle HP pool. An individual Batomon can be knocked out while the rest of the side continues. Batomon with cooldown abilities fill their own timers toward the next cast, and effects can enter the fight at start of battle, on cast, while ongoing, on knockout, or after victory. Position also matters when an ability targets a slot, a direction, or adjacent Batomon.

Understand asynchronous opponents

Human opponents are reportedly saved team snapshots associated with the same numbered day as the battle, rather than people issuing commands against you in real time. If an eligible human snapshot is unavailable, the game can use a day-specific bot fallback. This explains why the shop has no live-opponent countdown without turning the homepage into a detailed matchmaking manual; the exact search order, MMR bands, exclusions, and fallback expansion remain outside this overview.

Use trainers, trinkets, items, and events

The selected trainer is equipped for the run and can affect the board, economy, shop, or rewards. Trinkets normally remain in the bag and duplicate copies can stack, although some are consumed after their effect fires. Items are immediate purchases whose effects can alter Batomon, reroll or change the shop, grant units or trinkets, or modify other run state. Events can offer Batomon, gold, upgrades, trinkets, and other choices that redirect the run.

Follow shop rank, rerolls, and merging

The same guide reports a five-slot shop: normally four Batomon offers and one eligible Item offer. A normal reroll costs 3 gold, while an available free reroll is used for zero gold. Rerolling clears the visible lock; if the shop was already locked for tomorrow, the new offers reportedly still carry over. For merging, three matching level-1 copies make level 2, while two matching level-2 copies make level 3. Normal merging does not reach level 4.

Shop rank reportedly rises with the day and changes rarity odds; it does not guarantee a particular offer. Trainers, trinkets, items, and events can also change the rank or those odds. The current archived material does not provide a numeric probability table, so this page explains the behavior without inventing percentages.
